(9) Mini-crisis

Well, today is the day before Neil and I set off on the trip and I've had my first minor crisis of the trip. While out getting done last minute things done I managed to lose my bike key. It's somewhere at Fred Meyers but I couldn't find it and it wasn't turned in by anyone. Luckily I had a spare with me 🙂.

I have a replacement on order at the Kawasaki dealer in Bullhead City. It should be waiting for me when we get there on a couple weeks. Although it will be a key blank and I will have to find a locksmith to cut it.

In the grand scheme of things only a minor inconvenience.

I'm catching a little dinner now and Neil texted me to let me know he is on the plane in Anchorage. After dinner I'll go back to the storage unit and do some packing. Neil comes into Portland around 11:00pm tonight. We will do the final packing in the morning and head to Newport after the morning rush across the I5 bridge in the morning. Almost on our way!
