(3) Planning - Budget
The budget for the trip is part hard costs that I have paid or know I will pay and some guestimates of costs I anticipate needing to make on the trip. These are estimates per person. I have tried to be very conservative here so that this is a worst case estimate of costs for the trip.

Time to update my gas budget item. It is going to be difficult to guess this one. I can’t find any price info for Central and South America more recent than March 2022. As of then it looks like $6.00/gallon was about average.
